To seek and to save the lost…
Luke’s account of the gospel conveys the infinite God-Man, Jesus Christ to be the fulfillment of the eternal purpose of God to redeem a people for His own sake. He came to save sinners from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages.
The Lord prepares the heart to follow Him and to do His will.
Christ’s deity was displayed in His humanity as God, in Him reconciled the world to Himself.
The familiarity with Jesus, lust for the sensational, and arrogant entitlement lead to hostility of unbelief.
Jesus was sent from above to proclaim the good news to the spiritually bankrupt.
Jesus was tempted as we are, yet without sin so that we, with confidence might draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace…
John’s ministry of the Word prepared the people for the son of God to enter into this world.
God prepares the hearts of His people through His Word.
Jesus’ identity with the Father directly affected His life in this fallen world.
