The call to gospel ministry therefore will often entails enduring hardships, affliction, opposition, persecution and sometimes physical death. The ministry of the gospel also includes the caring for and nurturing of the sheep, warning and protecting from wolves that may creep in. God’s call to gospel ministry is costly, and it is a call that is extended, not only to the specialists, but to each and every person who is called by His name.
