The Gospel of Luke
To seek and to save the lost…
Luke’s account of the gospel conveys the infinite God-Man, Jesus Christ to be the fulfillment of the eternal purpose of God to redeem a people for His own sake. He came to save sinners from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages.
John’s ministry of the Word prepared the people for the son of God to enter into this world.
God prepares the hearts of His people through His Word.
Jesus’ identity with the Father directly affected His life in this fallen world.
The testimony of Jesus’ humble birth emphasizes that He came to seek and save the lost.
God’s great and tender mercy sent a Savior to redeem His people to serve Him.
God’s mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.
God acts to fulfill His promise to send a Savior through the seed of a woman.
God so desired for man to know and enjoy His glory, He provided redemption for him in spite of his unbelief.
