Calvary is a fellowship of believers under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our pursuit is to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ and serve Him forever through the equipping and edifying of the saints and the evangelization of the lost. Equipped as individual members of His body we seek to minister to one another, provoking one another to love and good works, and to reach others with the good news of Christ. God's Word is our final authority and through the illuminating work of His Spirit we study it to know Him more personally and more intimately. Through His empowering and enabling work we proclaim the good news of Christ and live out His truth that others may see Him more.

Dear friends, Just want to send out a quick note – won’t be able to answer all questions now. Just want to let everyone know that we are all fine. We woke up last night at 3:40 a.m. to a terrible earthquake (8.8). The initial shock lasted literally for two minutes! We watched pictures fall off the wall, furniture fall over, books fall off book shelves, etc. In the end, the only damage done was knickknacks and dishes broken. There are no signs of cracks in the walls inside our apartment. Outside our apartment is some structural damage, but for the most part the apt building looks to be sound. We have felt tremors (aftershocks) steadily from 4 to 7 a.m. (another 6.5). You probably are finding out more about the earthquake on your news than we are since we don’t have enough power for tv. At this point we do not have power to run the fridge and no water. Our neighbors seem to be handling things fine – we ask for prayer for Monica who was quite shook up (Dan prayed with her and we hope to have more contact with her).
Quick little note - I just chatted with Liz Thompson on Skype as they just had their power turned back on. They said that "Matthews" house stood. It shook back and forth for a couple minutes but is still ok...
No one has talked to the Flincks in person yet, although we know they are ok, just waiting for their power to be turned back on probably.
