The ministry of the gospel rests in the power of God to change hearts and to transform God’s people into the likeness of Christ from one degree of glory to another. This is a slow work not often manifested externally and is often met with opposition and persecution. The believer trusts God to accomplish His purposes through the gospel, and therefore refuses to lose heart.
