Advent, Giving Thanks

Speaker: Matthew Lim
Series: Advent 2019
Passage: Philippians 3:20-4:9
Service Type: Morning Service

Bible Text: Philippians 3:20-4:9 | Speaker: Matthew Lim | Series: Advent 2019 |
Paul is describing more than giving thanks for answered prayer. He instructs to offer up prayer and supplication ALONG WITH thanksgiving. We are to approach the Lord with a spirit of gratitude BEFORE we even know if or how He will answer our prayers. Thanksgiving is not dependent upon the outcome of our prayers. Prayer and supplication with thanksgiving is living in an intimate communion with the Lord, who is at hand.

Topics: citizenship, joy, prayer, thanksgiving
